Why We Launched Loofta as a Mini App on Telegram and Focused on Trust First
As we prepare to introduce Loofta to the Web3 world, one of the biggest questions we asked ourselves was: How can we create a product that feels both familiar and safe for our users from day one?
At Loofta, we’re committed to revolutionizing how crypto freelancers and clients connect, make deals, and build trusted working relationships. As we prepare to introduce Loofta to the Web3 world, one of the biggest questions we asked ourselves was: How can we create a product that feels both familiar and safe for our users from day one?
After much consideration, we made a strategic decision to launch Loofta first as a mini app on Telegram, a platform where many crypto deals are already happening. Here's why we took this approach and why we’ve decided to hold off on launching our escrow feature initially.
Meeting Freelancers Where They Already Are
In the crypto space, platforms like Telegram have become the unofficial headquarters for deals, gigs, and collaboration. Whether you’re a KOL (Key Opinion Leader), moderator, designer, or crypto promoter, there’s a good chance you’ve used Telegram to negotiate deals or connect with clients. It’s where the crypto community naturally gathers to chat, share, and—most importantly—do business.
By launching Loofta as a mini app on Telegram, we’re entering the space where our users already feel comfortable. You don’t need to learn a new platform, install an app, or even create a new account. We’re meeting you where you already are, with an interface and process that’s as familiar as sending a message. This simplicity lowers the barriers to entry for users, helping you focus on what matters most—closing deals and collaborating securely.
Building Trust Before Smart Contracts
One of the core features of Loofta is the escrow system, powered by smart contracts. This feature will allow freelancers and clients to work confidently, knowing that funds are held securely until the agreed-upon work is completed. However, as revolutionary as escrow via smart contracts is, we understand that not everyone is immediately comfortable with using it, especially for new users entering a new platform.
Let’s be real—smart contracts can feel intimidating, particularly if you’re unfamiliar with interacting directly with blockchain technology. While it’s an essential part of our long-term vision, we decided to delay the launch of the escrow feature for a simple reason: trust comes first.
We want to build trust with our users before introducing this advanced functionality. By allowing freelancers and clients to transact peer-to-peer (P2P) on their own terms in the early stages, we’re creating a sense of security. Users can manage their own deals directly with the people they’re working with, without the added complexity of a smart contract in the middle—at least, not just yet.
Why We Prioritized Peer-to-Peer Transactions
Launching with P2P transactions allows us to foster a trust-first environment. Freelancers and clients can get familiar with the Loofta platform, understand its functionality, and experience the ease of making deals within Telegram. They can communicate directly, negotiate terms, and transact without feeling like they’re navigating unfamiliar technology.
Our approach is to give you time to get to know us—the team behind Loofta—and feel comfortable using our platform. As we grow, and as our community gains confidence in our product and its vision, we will gradually introduce our more advanced features, like smart contract-powered escrow.
Focused on Building a Trustworthy Community
We know that trust is everything in the freelance world. That’s why our primary focus is on building a strong, transparent community before layering on complex tools. By launching on Telegram, where many deals in the crypto space already happen, and focusing first on P2P transactions, we’re making sure that you feel safe, and that you can trust us before we ask you to adopt newer technologies.
What’s Next?
As Loofta evolves, we’ll be introducing the escrow feature, along with other advanced tools to ensure even more secure, transparent transactions. But we believe that this step-by-step approach is the best way to grow organically, ensuring that every user feels confident and secure from the very beginning.
We’re excited to have you with us on this journey! If you’re a KOL, moderator, designer, crypto promoter, or any type of Web3 freelancer, Loofta is here to help you manage deals more easily, safely, and efficiently.
Join us today on Telegram and be part of the platform that’s shaping the future of Web3 freelancing.
We look forward to building a platform with you, for you—designed to meet the needs of today’s Web3 creators while earning the trust we know is so important in this decentralized world.
Let’s make it happen, together.
